Actions items from previous meetings

@Former user (Deleted): schedule session to review APIs
@Former user (Deleted): schedule discussion on future plans and how we manage contributions plus major design decisions (like a move to Electron). We should discuss future support arrangements, i.e. we shouldn't all need to make the same security patch.
@WilliamS to coordinate a review of the current WG charter (with assistance from any/all interested WG members), and proposed changes will be presented back to the WG at a future meeting
Notify Colin that the group, while excited to have his expertise on the group, would prefer to wait until he and/or ScottLogic are a Foundation member (which may depend on the proposed additional membership tiers) - @Peter Monks
Send email to group describing what we want to do and asking for volunteers for the POC projects (pre-requisite: folks must have permission from their firms to contribute) - @Former user (Deleted)
Once POC project team(s) are identified, create CONTRIB JIRAs for the POC(s) - TBD

Meeting notes

  • Nick and John to work on POC. Scope of POC was discussed in the meeting. POC to include:

    • Ability to run Symphony web view in container

    • Support for following container features / interaction:

      • Desktop notification

      • Screen share

      • Encryption / Decryption

  • @Gareth Davies suggested that Minute outer bridge JS API define interface b/w web view and container. If a new container can support this interface, it's likely to be compliant.

  • Minuet open source progress: @Gareth Davies mention that Minuet may go through another review and it's likely to introduce further delay.

  • It is suggested and agreed that new repo to be created for Minuet contribution. With new repo in place, code addition need not go through open source process. @Rob Koyfman would look into it.

Action items

@Rob Koyfman to grant Nick Colba and John De Murga access to Symphony for Openfin and Electron POC
Nick and John to work on POC and provide an update by next meeting.
@Rob Koyfman to create a repository for new contribution to Minuet (including work done related to Openfin and Electron integration)
