Jennifer Code joined a project meeting for the first time. Jennifer recently joined AWS (was previously as JP Morgan) to build a control catalogue.

Jason provided a recap on aims of the project - to produce opinionated documentation and codified controls for cloud services (across vendors). Vendor input is also welcome in producing the artifacts.

10 minReview action items from previous meetings (see above)

The group approved 2019-09-12 Cloud Service Certification Project Meeting minutes.

15 minReview artifacts, progress and next steps.Jason Nelson
  • Reviewed the DynamoDB Service Accelerator which covers the high level areas that will go into the spreadsheet.
  • Jason to add DynamoDB Test Cases documentation
  • Reconfirmed that the aim of the group is to produce controls for cloud services across the different cloud vendors. Current work is on AWS but this can expand in the future.
  • Discussed the requirement (within banks) to certify service by service, the need to meet different regulatory requirements and longer term benefit of having a catalog of all services.
  • Potentially also useful to include in the documentation a reference to the regulation to show traceability of the requirement (need to determine how to deal with internal control numbers to regs).
