Meeting notes
Participants discussed the draft Reference Open Source Policy for Financial Services circulated before the call. Several members indicated that they expect to have more detailed feedback once they've had internal meetings to review in more depth.
Mr. Catania proposed that the best practices for the FOSS License List include a "banned" license category, and other participants agreed. It was also generally agreed that the list's categories should be named functionally, rather than for colors.
Mr. Olds asked if the Foundation intended to include a sample FOSS License List with information about specific licenses in the policy materials. Mr. Williamson agreed that would be useful, but said it would require significant diligence and therefore would be better to hold until after the base policy was finalized. The participants agreed.
Mr. Williamson encouraged member to send written feedback in advance of the next meeting.
