Gold ESC Advisor Election (2017)
The Bylaws and Gold Member Policies provide for the election of a single ESC Advisor by the Gold Members, voting as a class.
The requirements for nominating and electing an ESC Advisor is described in the Gold Member Policies as follows:
- Any Gold Member in good standing may nominate a qualified person to stand for election as an ESC Advisor representing the Gold Members;
An order to qualify as a Gold Director, in addition to other qualifications set forth in the Bylaws, a nominee must not be employed by or a representative of any Platinum Members;
- At least sixty (60) days prior to the date scheduled for the selection of an ESC Advisor to represent the Gold Members, the Executive Director will seek nominations for ESC Advisor and shall publish the nominees’ names promptly thereafter; and
- On the designated date each Gold Member will then vote (either at a meeting of the Gold Members or via written consent pursuant to the Bylaws) for no more than one of the qualified nominees. The nominee with the greatest number of votes shall be duly appointed as an ESC Advisor representing the Gold Members.
Election process
This election is complete. The Gold Members have elected Nick Kolba of OpenFin as the Gold ESCo Advisor.
- The Foundation's Executive Director issued a call for nominations from the Gold Members on November 7, 2016. Nominations were due by December 5, 2016.
- Members should submit their nominations (one per Member) to Aaron Williamson using the Nomination Form on or before the nomination deadline.
- Members may discuss nominees on the Gold Members list at gold-members@symphony.foundation. (If you are a representative of a Gold Member and would like to be added to this list, please contact Aaron Williamson.)
The election will be held by written ballot, which will be circulated after nominations are closed. Ballots were due by January 6, 2017.
