Sharing Contacts
Sharing Contacts
Symphony users may want to share information about contacts, generally professionals who are affiliated with one or more organizations. A structured contact object could be useful in this situation.
Goals
- Include common Customer Relationship Management (CRM) information
- Allow for structured / parsable fields
- Allow for international cultural conventions for names, titles, roles, etc.; do not assume US conventions
- Reference existing objects where appropriate, such as com.symphony.user.id and org.symphonyoss.string
- Reference other new entity objects such as org.symphonyoss.fin.organization and org.symphonyoss.obj.contact.info (to be defined)
- Allow for extensible identifiers and reference data
- Do not introduce new centralized reference data, especially ones that would require significant ongoing maintenance
Examples
See org.symphonyoss.obj.contact [E].
