Google has been a major participant in open source collaboration since its founding. Like financial institutions, Google is highly protective of the algorithms and data at the core of its major services. Nonetheless, it’s found many ways to streamline its open source processes to ensure that they don’t unduly restrict their engineers or get bogged down in bureaucracy.

This presentation will highlight several specific strategies from Google’s public open source documentation that FINOS members can use to improve the efficiency of their own open source processes.
