FDC3 v1.0 Updates

  1. Central Repo
  2. New Roadmap
All

Discussion related to the submission of an FDC3 AppD toolbar/app launcher created by Tick42 including:

  • where it should reside (existing directory appd-glue42-launcher-poc or new location)
  • bigger question of where reference implementations should reside and how they should be created (e.g. by a single party or multiple)
  • JIRAs are required for all new projects, which PMC should review
  • Agreed this topic would be added to the next PMC meeting

Central Repo:

  • Any modifications to the spec should be made in the central repository
  • Old repo will be archived

Roadmap:

  • Changes made earlier in the day can be found in Issue #55, so roadmap now includes
    • Search capabilities, surfacing other content
    • Manifest format detail (describing the content)
    • Eventing
  • Group agreed roadmap

Search - Working session

All

Discussion on how to approach search and what to search on included (at a very high level):

  • need to search on parameters, manifest itself, model attributes, text strings, etc.
  • whether any attributes added to the model should be searchable
  • sample use cases to help drive the discussion (e.g. give me all apps that support this type of intent; grouping; identify specific app config/info)
  • support for required fields (all other fields optional?)
  • preliminary discussion on benefits/challenges of using GraphQL and REST
  • Group agreed this is a good discussion to continue and that putting it down in writing would be benficial
