Project 1Objective - Mapping Entity/ Issuer static records across vendor feeds. Use of Open Corporate or other open source symbology as a cross reference identifier.
  1. Identify the open symbology (Open Corporates in our case) to use for cross reference across vendor feeds.
  2. Identify the key vendors that distribute Entity or Issuer static data.
  3. Liaise with key vendors - BBG, TR etc. for the distribution of that open source.
  1. Identify ways to map Open Corporates identifier to a vendor feed - To be useful for vendors that will not agree. 
  2. Implement POC. 
  3. Test & demonstration
  4. sign off - Go ahead by the members for implementing the POC

Project 2Objective - Create and distribute a golden record for the US Agency issued Bonds within the Finos community
  1. Expand the use case and identify specific benefits of implementing the use case.
  2. Identify member firms that underwrite Agency bonds in US
  3. Identify member firms that have interest in consuming the data
  4. Initiate project viability study with member firms. Any compliance or regulatory restrictions.
  5. Find out whether it would amount to any breach of data distribution with existing vendors such as Bloomberg
  1. Define the object model or definition of the Agency bond.
  2. Identify Mandatory vs Optional attributes.
  3. Document the life cycle of the Agency bond and what  would be supported by the FINOS group - whether Call schedule will be maintained, whether internal prices will be shared etc. 
  4. Agree/ Define relationship with vendors for distribution of the Agency static. (Whether FINOS will own the distribution of the static to BBG etc or whether it would still remain the responsibility of the Financial Institution involved in the underwriting) 
  1. Implement POC.

  3. sign off - Go ahead by the members for implementing the POC
