45 min | AOB & adjourn | Peter Monks (in lieu of PMC Lead) | - Discussion regarding Thursday's WG meeting
- William Quan and Hammad Akbar have been working towards having the Trade and RFQ objects at a point where they're suitable for sharing with that wider group
- Trade object is the priority, since it naturally "extends" to become an RFQ object
- William Quan suggests not focusing on demos / UIs initially, since that tends to get bogged down in highly specific discussions around workflows (where they're triggered from, actioned, etc.)
- Driving broader participation in the WG
- Johan Sandersson shared internally with the FactSet Portware team
- Peter Monks shared with Blackrock & Citadel - some interest from Blackrock (Matthew Gardner), but no response yet from Citadel
- Foundation also chasing up introductions to clearing house folks
- DovK has come back with some names within MS too
- Foundation is meeting AQR next week, and this is one of the topics
- Member's meeting presentation
- FDC3 Use Cases WG
- First use case relates to sell side equity trader, and that seems to fit the "Trade" object being discussed here.
- This WG might codify the object and then provide that to the FDC3 WG? Challenge is one of timing - they are running ahead with a "simplified" trade object that's going to require multiple transformations between parties.
- Is there a reason to keep separate groups? If so, there should be a common line of updates between the FDC3 and FO PMCs.
